Simple Joys Counseling is a small group practice centered around the whole family. We're Trying to make it easier for families to access mental health care by having a provider for everyone in the same place. No matter what your family is facing, we'll be here to support you.

Sensory Space

We're excited to provide a sensory friendly play space adjacent to our office

We have climbing equipment, a platform swing, a crash pad, and many other great activities for our sensory seeking friends. This space is available to individuals and groups by booking time contacting us at

The space can be accessed 24/7 by use of one time passcode for the door and is monitored by camera

Pricing: $20 for one child per hour, siblings will be $10 each

If you would like to book additional time or for a group please let us know!

General Rules:

Access & Monitoring: Access to the space outside of the business hours of 9am-3pm Monday through Friday will be granted through one time passcode for the door after appointment is confirmed. The space is monitored by camera 24/7 and footage will be reviewed regularly.

Health & Safety: Our team sanitizes high-touch areas daily. We ask that families:

Return toys and materials to their homes before leaving
Wipe up spills or messes promptly
Report anything broken or needing attention

Unsafe behaviors and lack of supervision will result in an initial warning, repeated issues will result in a penalty fee of $20 and may result in not being allowed in the space in the future.

Children and families are not allowed behind the gated area at the desk and are asked to respect the space, the equipment, and the safety of others.

Meet the Team

Ariana Lewis, LCSW

I have experience helping preschool, toddler, and early elementary aged children struggling with behavioral and developmental concerns, as well as trauma and attachment difficulties. With young children, family and caregiver work is also often important in the process and I am happy to work with you to find the best ways to support your child.I will work together with your family and your child to promote positive growth and change, and look forward to meeting you!

Liz Moore, Practice Coordinator

As the Practice Coordinator at Simple Joys Counseling, I help keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes. I handle scheduling, client communication, outreach, coordination, and social media, and I take pride in maintaining an organized, welcoming environment for both clients and our team.

I bring over 15 years of experience in customer service, including four years in child care and several years in human resources. My background has given me a strong foundation in communication, empathy, and organization — all of which I use to support our clients and clinicians every day. I also love that my daughter comes to work with me, which makes being part of a family-focused practice even more meaningful.

When I’m not wrangling schedules at work and at home, you can usually find me with my husband and our children enjoying family movie nights, visiting relatives, or spending time outdoors on kid-friendly adventures. I’m a big fan of Grey’s Anatomy and always happiest when surrounded by family and sunshine.

Emmanuella Olatinwo, LMSW

I am a social worker with over seventeen years of experience. I have case management experience in the prison system serving as a diversion clinician. I have worked with prestigious organizations serving children, youth, and families across the state of Connecticut.

For over a decade, I have counseled children, at-risk youth, and families using strength-based approaches to focus on individual abilities and potential rather than their deficits. I help children, youth, and families achieve their goals.

I provide parents with the resources to maintain healthy relationships with their children and benefit the family unit as a whole. I help children find the best way to communicate their challenges with their parents. The integration of my counseling and therapy have resulted in many successful family relationships.

Samantha Goodson, LCSW

My passion is supporting children and families on their journeys toward emotional well-being. Together, we will use a variety of approaches including using a person centered, strength based perspective, and engage together in trauma informed care.

With my clients I find value in exploring coping skills identification and implementation, working to explore ways you can manage stress, and support you in feeling your best self.

When I am out of the office you can find me snuggled up with my doodle dog, Tucker!

I love to spend time outside, from laying on the beach, to hiking mountains.

I love to spend time with my friends and family, am a frequent Target shopper!

You may also find me enjoying a home project, or reading a great book.

Recently, I am enjoying diving into all things cooking and baking!

Sarah Ferrigno, LMFT

I am dedicated to helping people heal from past wounds so they can live a life with joy and confidence. I specialize in trauma therapy, and I have a passion for helping people of all ages use art as a means of expression and self-discovery. I primarily utilize EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and Internal Family Systems to help clients process painful experiences and find relief from distress. I work with individuals, children, couples and families to navigate the impact of trauma, build healthier relationships, and develop the tools needed for personal growth.

Rose Hill, LPC-A

I work with adults, school aged children and families. I especially have a strong passion for working with parents and adults who are experiencing major life transitions and navigating life in an increasingly technology based post-covid world.

For the last 5 years I have worked with elementary school aged children and their families in developing self-regulation skills, social skills, and behavior management strategies at a local elementary school. Prior to this I was an academic counselor at a variety of colleges and universities assisting individuals in determining their academic and career paths.

In my therapeutic work, I use a strength based approach that is tailored to the needs of each individual with an emphasis on building rapport and trust. My hope is to create an environment where you can feel supported and able to explore your feelings, thoughts and behaviors and work to find the root causes and make lasting changes in your everyday life.

Alissa Zimmitti, LMSW

Hello and welcome! If you are looking for a therapist offering a supportive and non-judgemental approach, consider reaching out to me. Life can be difficult and no matter what you are dealing with I am here to help. I have a background working with adults struggling with substance use and mental health. Whether you are feeling anxious, depressed, overwhelmed, sad, or just looking for someone to listen, I can support. I have additionally worked with adults facing chronic illness as well as those facing grief or loss. I primarily work with adults and specialize in utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and a person centered approach to help you best determine your needs and goals. Starting to work on yourself can be daunting, but finding the right therapist to work with can make the work positive and fun!

Frank Fiorenini, lmft-a

I love to support individuals, couples, and families through emotional and life challenges with care and respect. I take a holistic, client-centered approach—treating the whole person, not just symptoms—and emphasize collaboration and trust in the therapeutic relationship. I strive to create a safe, inclusive space for clients of all backgrounds, helping them identify strengths and foster lasting growth. My background in fitness coaching deepened an appreciation for the mind-body connection and inspired my path into mental health. Outside of therapy, I enjoy staying active, spending time outdoors, and being with my family and four dogs.
